At the turn of the 22nd century, escalating events have led to a political lockdown on many creative and information industries, and the governments of the world are eyeing an expansion of their control. But their mile-high view of the world leaves a crack in the facade through which an unwitting teen begins to uncover the truth.

Serendipity Costas was cautioned by her guardian/roommate/older-brother-figure, Jordan Sypher, against investigating the Lost Mariachis for her senior research and writing paper. When she starts to discover that the band’s incarceration and the political firestorm around it may have been strategically arranged, she can’t help but question Jordan’s involvement. They are both part of a larger rebel movement, and figuring out the role they play quickly becomes more important than any high school project.
